MaOI RESEARCH

INSTITUTE

What is the MaOI Institute?

MaOI Institute is a research hub that promotes research, development, demonstration, and joint research by utilizing research infrastructures such as marine microbial resources and marine environmental data. The institute has established BISHOP as its core data platform, providing an environment where researchers, companies, and related organizations can engage in research and technological development in the marine field.

Research Platform “BISHOP”

BISHOP is a platform established as the core research infrastructure of the MaOI Institute, for aggregating and utilizing data in the marine field. Led by MaOI institute, marine environmental data and biological resource information collected in cooperation with prefectural public research institutions and universities are accumulated. These research foundations are utilized for research, demonstration, and technology development purposes, serving as the basis for joint research and demonstration projects at the institute.
