Joined Shizuoka Prefecture in 1987. Worked at testing research institutions and prefectural offices, engaging in fisheries-related duties. Has work experience covering all coastlines of Shizuoka Prefecture from Izu to Lake Hamana.
Retired from Shizuoka Prefecture Fisheries and Marine Technology Research Institute as director in March 2022. Joined MaOI Institute in 2022.
