What is
MaOI-PARC?

MaOI-PARC is a core facility for promoting and creating diverse industries by leveraging rich marine resources in Shizuoka Prefecture. It promotes innovation through Blue Tech (advanced marine technologies) including marine biotechnology.

By incorporating metallic materials and the warmth of wood such as Shizuoka Prefecture-produced timber, it expresses the fusion of advanced technology and nature. The MaOI-PARC logo uses a blue gradient to evoke the abundant waters of Mt. Fuji and the depths of Suruga Bay, representing the futuristic feel of \"MaOI-PARC\".


Shared Lab Room (MaOI LABO)

共同ラボ室(MaOI Labo)
A laboratory for conducting molecular biology research, available for use by universities, research institutions, companies, etc. The Shared Lab Room provides genome sequencing, environmental DNA and metagenome analysis, microbial isolation and culture, gene editing, and even single-cell research using droplet systems (single-cell technology).

Submit the \"Facility Use Permission Application Form\" to MaOI Institute by mail or in person at least one week before your intended use date.

Facility Usage Fees

Please refer to the table below for facility usage fees.
For the use of the Shared Lab Room, the actual cost of usage such reagents and other materials will be charged separately.
An invoice for the previous month's facility usage fees will be issued at the beginning of the month. Please make payment by the due date stated on the invoice.

    If the parking lot is full, we kindly ask that you use a nearby paid parking facility.

    By Train/Bus (public transportation)

    From train station Shimizu (JR) or Shin-Shimizu (Shizuoka Railway – “Shizutetsu”), take “Miho-Yamanote” Line bus bound for \"Tokai University Miho Aquarium” or “Miho Shako Mae\" operated by Shizutetsu Bus and get off at \"Hatoba Ferkerl Museum\" Stop and walk for 5 minutes
